Terms of service
Last updated 2 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and StudyCru. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service.
1. Who can use StudyCru
- You must be at least 18.
- You must be a current student and able to prove it with a valid student card.
- One account per person. Accounts are personal — do not share yours or sign in as anyone else.
- You must give accurate information. Your name, date of birth and university are locked after you first set them, because verification depends on them.
2. Verification
Hosting a session requires a completed profile and a verified student card. We review cards manually and may reject one that is unreadable, expired, or does not match your profile. We may re-check or revoke verification at any time if we have reason to doubt it.
3. Meeting in person — your safety is yours
StudyCru helps students find each other. It does not supervise sessions and is not a party to them. Verification tells you that someone showed us a student card; it does not make them safe, and we do not run background checks.
- Meet in public places — libraries, campus buildings, cafés.
- Tell someone where you are going.
- Leave if you feel uncomfortable, and report the person afterwards.
You take part in sessions at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for what happens at a session or for the conduct of other users.
4. How to behave
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, bully or discriminate against anyone.
- Post sexual content, hate speech, violence, or anything illegal.
- Impersonate anyone, or use a false student card.
- Use StudyCru to advertise, recruit, sell, or run academic-dishonesty services.
- Share another person's private information, including a session's address.
- Scrape the service, or try to break, overload or reverse-engineer it.
- Create a new account to get around a suspension or a block.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You grant us a licence to host, store and display it as needed to run the service. You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it.
We may remove content that breaks these terms. We can delete a review, a message or a follow. We will not lift a block you have placed on someone — that is your own safety control, and no report justifies reopening a channel you closed.
6. Attendance, ratings and your record
Confirming attendance and rating each other is how the service stays useful. Do not confirm attendance for a session you did not attend, and do not use ratings to retaliate. We may remove ratings that appear retaliatory or coordinated, and we may adjust a score affected by manipulation.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that poses a risk to other users, or where we are required to by law. Where it is safe and lawful to do so we will tell you why. Serious safety cases may be actioned immediately.
You can close your account at any time — see the account deletion page.
8. Availability
We provide StudyCru as-is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. We will give reasonable notice before withdrawing something significant.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or loss arising from your dealings with other users. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use StudyCru after that means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, and the courts of Morocco have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any consumer rights you have where you live.
