Getting started
How do I get verified?
Complete your profile — date of birth, photo, study level, subjects, city, country and university — then upload a photo of your student card. A person on our team checks it, usually within a day. You need to be verified before you can host a session.
My student card was rejected. Why?
Usually because the photo was blurry, cropped, expired, or the name did not match the profile. Retake it in good light with the whole card in frame. If you think a rejection was wrong, tell us and we will look again.
Why can I not change my name or university?
Your name, date of birth and university lock after you set them, because verification rests on them — otherwise a verified account could quietly become someone else. If one is genuinely wrong, or you have moved to a new university, contact us.
Sessions and attendance
How does attendance work?
For on-site sessions, you confirm attendance when you arrive and your device’s location is checked against the session’s. It only runs while you are using the app — we do not track you in the background. Online sessions are confirmed by the host and participants.
What if the host never shows up?
Report it from the session. If enough participants report the same thing, an administrator can release the attendance code on the host’s behalf so the people who did turn up are not penalised.
Why does my score go down?
Not turning up to a session you joined, withdrawing at the last minute, and poor peer ratings all cost you. Turning up and rating fairly builds it back.
Safety and privacy
Who can see my location?
A session’s exact address is shown only to accepted participants. Everyone else sees an approximate area. Your session history never shows where you studied, exactly when, or who with.
Are reviews about me anonymous?
Written reviews are shown without the reviewer’s name and without a date. The date is deliberately omitted — in a small group, a comment plus a date is often enough to work out who wrote it.
Someone is harassing me. What do I do?
Block them, which immediately closes messaging in both directions, then report them. An administrator can remove content and suspend an account. We will never lift a block you have placed — it is your control, not ours.
How do I report someone?
Use the report option on their profile, the session, or the message. For anything urgent, contact us directly and pick “Report a person or session”.
Account
How do I delete my account?
Use the deletion page — it works without the app installed. In the app, Settings → Account → Delete account does the same and lets you withdraw the request while it is still open. Deletion is reviewed by a person and is permanent once approved.
What happens to my sessions if I delete my account?
Every session you hosted goes with it, along with the applications, attendance records and reviews attached to them. That affects other people’s records too, which is why deletion is reviewed rather than instant.
Can I get my data?
Yes. Ask us and pick “Privacy or my data”.
I cannot log in.
Use the password reset in the app first. If the reset email does not arrive, check spam, then contact us from the address on the account.
